Spruce Grove Lodge Naming Contest Rules
Grand Prize: The winner will receive a $250 pre-paid Visa Gift Card and the honour of naming our newest supportive living senior’s lodge!
Winner selection:
A short list of submissions will be reviewed by the Meridian Housing Foundation Board of Directors, who will choose the winner. To keep everything fair and protect everyone's privacy, we will remove all personal details from the entries before sharing the names with the Board of Directors.
Contest rules:
1. Each individual may submit a maximum of 3 entries.
2. The contest will run from May 22, 2025, at 8:30 am to June 15, 2025, at 4:30 pm. To be eligible, entries must be received by the Contest closing date.
3. Submissions containing offensive, derogatory, or inappropriate language will be disqualified immediately.
4. Submissions that do not comply with applicable City of Spruce Grove bylaws may be subject to disqualification.
5. The contest is open to Alberta residents only. If the contest winners are under 18 years of age, a guardian must claim the prize.
6. No purchase is necessary to participate in the contest or to win the prize.
7. In cases where identical winning names are submitted by multiple participants, the entry received first will be deemed the winner and awarded the prize.
8. The winner must claim their prize within 14 days of notification. If the prize is not claimed within this period, the winning name will remain valid; however, the prize will be returned to the Spruce Grove Supported Living Lodge project fund.
9. The winner must pick up the prize at our office at 4908-53 Ave, Stony Plain, AB and may may be required to answer a skill-testing question to claim the prize.
10. No cash alternative or substitution of the prize is provided. The prize is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, and must be accepted as awarded.
11. Meridian Housing Foundation Board of Directors are not eligible to provide name submissions.
12. Meridian Housing Foundation reserves the right, without prior notice, and at any time, to terminate the contest, in whole or in part or modify, suspend or extend the contest in any way.
13. Personal information is collected under the authority of section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP Act) and will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest and for purposes directly related to it. 15. The odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.
